Item: U.S. Navy/Marines Jet Aviator Advantages: Multiple poses, squadron patch decals, excellent sculpting, no casting blocks. Disadvantages: Slight proportional issues with arms. Not long ago, Master Details released a seated 1/32 USAF pilot perfect for those big Tamiya F-4C/D Phantoms. Now those with the Tamiya F-4J kit can rejoice with this new release of a USN/USMC pilot figure. The figure is beautifully cast in cream colored resin. Remarkably, there are no pour stubs to remove on any of the parts. What a treat. In addition, there appear to be no seam lines on any of the parts. Following in their fine tradition, there are numerous options included with the kit. No less than 4 different heads are included reflecting choices of visor down, mask off; visor up, mask off; visor down, mask on; visor up, mask on. There are also two sets of arms. One set has the sleeves down and the other has the sleeves rolled up. An oxygen hose is also included. The quality of the sculpting is excellent. My only issue is that the arms on the extended One really nice feature is an extensive set of decals representing a variety of squadron patches and name tags. A painting guide provides a key to all the patches and includes a full color 1 to 1 photo of a painted figure including both the front and back. All in all, this is a great package and will really bring your F-14, F-18, or A-7 to life. I look forward to more releases from Master Details. It is nice when a manufacturer offers a top quality product. It is bliss when the manufacturer add all the value add features found in this set. Thanks to Master Details for the review sample.
